Why I Study Spanish
Estudio español porque quiero viajar en países hispanohablantes, para vivir en otros países y por mi trabajo. I want to learn spanish because I will be able to use it in more places in the world than any other language. I really would like to be able to speak another language because I think it will make traveling a whole new experience for me and I will also be able to work and live in other countries a lot more easily.

The point of this project was to learn about reflexive verbs in Spanish. We had to create a fictional story and use four reflexive verbs. I chose to do a story on Prezi and the link to that is above. Reflexive verbs are used in Spanish when the subject and object are the same in a sentence. This is important to learn because we do not have reflexive verbs in english so it is good to learn. My story was abut Benji the rabid raccoon.

El Cuento de Niñez
This project taught us about the past tense. We were told to take a childhood memory and tell a story about it in Spanish. My story was about the time that I went to Palau and swam with dolphins and jellyfish.
It is very important to be able to use the past tense in spanish, because I plan on living or visiting Spanish speaking countries when I am older. If I learn how to do this now then I will be able to tell stories in Spanish when I go to foreign countries.
Using the preterite and imperfect tenses helped me on my story, because without it, I would not have been able to tell my story in the past tense.

Story
Entonces fuimos a mi casa.

Biography Project
a. This project was designed to further our knowledge of the past tense in Spanish in a fun and engaging way. We were told to choose a famous Spanish person and write a biography about them using the past tense. Then we had to make the biography into a presentation with pictures. Finally we created a speech in the first person and dressed up as our famous person for exhibition.
b. I learned a lot about not only the past tense but Carlos Slim as well. We had already learned about the past tense before this project but I did not really understand it very well. After this project I can now tell the difference between the three past tenses and conjugate each fairly well. I really enjoyed this project because it was a lot more fun than just memorizing the past tense.

Che Project
1. For my project, I had to write a recipe using commands. Before that we learned about Che Guevara.
2. I liked how my project turned out. I made Cuban water bread. I thought that it was dense but Sus said it was just like the bread in South America.
3. I learned how to conjugate for commands in Spanish, as well as how to bake bread.

La Proyecto de Mango Street
Project Description
For this project, first we had to read a few chapters of a book called La Casa de Mango Street. Then we were told to come up with our own story about our own life. I chose to do my first chapter on where I have lived through my life, and the second about the best day of my life. Finally I made a podcast where I recorded myself reading my story.
Chapter 1
Vivía en la casa en 2nd ave. La casa en 2nd ave., es roja. La casa era muy pequeño, así me mudé a la casa en canción carril pájaro era demasiado lejos de la ciudad. Cuando tenía ocho años nos mudamos a Saipan por seis meses. Entonces mi padres divorcio, era muy triste. Yo viví en dos casas. Cuando tenía trece años, me mudé a la casa de Animas Place porque mi otra casa estaba demasiado lejos del centro de Durango.
I lived in a house on 2nd ave. The house on 2nd ave. is red. The house was very small so I moved to a house on Songbird lane. But the house on Songbird Lane is too far out of town. When I was eight years old, I moved to Saipan for six months. Then my parents got divorced, I was very sad. I lived in two houses. When I was 13 years old, I moved to the house of Animas Place because my other house was too far from downtown durango.
Chapter 2
Mi día bueno, era cuándo tenía catorce años, cuándo yo conocí a Keegan. El día bueno comenzó cuándo me desperté en mi cama cómoda. Sabía era un día especial. Entonces desayuné y me duché. Después desayuné, mi amigo Jimmy me llamó por dijo, “Hay un Kayakista profesional a mi casa, y su nombre es Keegante.” Conducí muy muy rápido a la casa de jimmy. Era muy emocionado, por que Keegante es mi héroe. Es un kayakista profesional porque él puede rodar en su kayak, en la piscina.
A good day, was when I was 14 years old when I met Keegan. The day started with me waking up in my comfortable bed. I knew it was a special day. Then I ate breakfast and took a shower. After I ate breakfast, my friend jimmy called me and said, “There is a professional kayaker at my house, and his name is Keegan.” I drove to jimmys house very very fast. I was very excited, because Keegan is my heroe. He is a professional kayaker because he can roll his kayak, in the pool.
