LINK Project
For my LINK project i did a lot of paperwork for the ambulance service that I was interning at. For the majority of the time that I was in Fort Defiance I was riding along on the ambulance and observing in the ER. They did not have any projects for me to work on in the ambulance because I was just an intern and had no experience. They set me up at their head office and had me working on organizing their call sheets and figuring out the billing. It was actually very interesting to look back through all the calls that they had for the past three months because I was able to see the most common injuries and sickness that people were going into the ER for. This job took me about three days to complete, it was a good way to pay my mentors back for letting me ride along with them. I got a lot more out of my internship when I was out in the field or in the ER, so I am glad that my project did not take that long. I wanted to use my internship to figure out if I want to pursue a career in medicine. I had a great experience at my internship so I am defiantly going to look into medicine more and will probably end up going into that field because it has always been an interest of mine.
