Semester Exam Project
For our semester exam project we had to create 10 of our own math problems from the material that we have learned so far this year, without any help from anyone but Effi. I thought the project was very beneficial, and will help me do well on the exam. I had forgotten a lot of the graphing and stuff with lines that we had done at the beginning of the year. By going back through all of the chapters and re-learning some of the material that I forgot, it has given me some preparation for the exam. I think that by creating my own problems it not only helped me review what I learned earlier in the year, it also helped me learn them more in depth.
I will study for the exam in a variety of ways. The first thing that I did to study was the project. Last night I read through my comp book and looked at the test review for our previous tests so that I could see what I needed to study and what I remembered, so that is one way that I have already studied for the exam. Before the exam I will continue to look at my comp book and I am going to go through the chapters and take the tests at the end so that I can learn the material even better and then study the questions that I struggle with on the chapter tests. I will also do whatever Effi suggests for studying, I feel if I do all of those things it will prepare me for the test.
I enjoyed the last semester, although it was really challenging, I learned a lot. Some of my strengths over the last semester have been working diligently, getting all my work in on time and studying for the tests. I did well with the information in chapter one two and three, but struggled with parabolas and stuff in chapter four and five. So overall this last semester have done well in Algebra 2 and am looking forward to next semester.

Reflection
Through the Encyclopedia project I learned a lot about exponential functions. I not only learned about the history of exponential functions, I also was able to better understand them. I learned a lot about the history of the number e, For example it was named after Leonhard Euler. Although Euler did not discover it, he was given the credit because at the time of its initial discovery by John Napier, it was not a way that Logarithms were thought about at the time.
I have learned that I need to work on my research skills. It was hard for me to find the information that I needed, that could be due to the fact that it was an obscure subject. Through this project I learned a lot about technical writing and making my writing more concise which will be helpful in future science and math classes.
I need to prepare for exhibition by trying to memorize the information that I learned. This will make it easier for me to talk to people and I won't have to be constantly be looking at my computer. I will also make any corrections that I need to after it is graded.

Exhibition Reflection
1. If I were to exhibit my project again, I think I would find a way to make it more exciting. All I had was a slideshow and a small packet, which I think was a little boring for people. I think that it would help if there was some interactive part for the spectators. But other than that, I feel that exhibition went well and that my project was as expected.
2. I think that one of my greatest strengths in math going forward will be solving equations, I am good at working through problems. Another strength that I have is advocation, I am good at advocating for myself if I don't understand something. My weakness in math is test taking, I need to work on study habits as well as developing better test taking skills, I think that would have greatly improved some of my test scores this year if I had those skills.
